Take me apart and scatter me around, make sure I’m well labelled though!
This is the the stage we are still going backwards, everything removed and labelled. First my body panels and windscreen which leaves me bare to the chassis .

So what is “Nancy” the Austin Healey going to do ?

Well over the next month or so we will go on the re build adventure, how will I turn out ? Originally I was Colorado Red and when I arrived in the USA they painted me this hideous mustard shade and plastered stripes all over. Once we have finished the re build we will start travelling and exploring the World…..maybe Surrey to start with but who knows !
This is the state poor Nancy was in when she returned to England in 2016.
She had to be completely re built.!!!
Where did it all begin?
Nancy is a BT7 Austin Healey 3000 and she was built on 5th September 1960 at the Donald Healey Motor co. in Warwick, England and then shipped to St Louis Missouri.
Originally Nancy was used for racing in North America. A BT7 3000 had a top speed of 115 mph (185 km/h) and could accelerate from 0–60 mph (97 km/h) in 11.7 seconds. A fuel consumption of 21.6 miles per imperial gallon (13.1 L/100 km; 18.0 mpg‑US) was recorded. She would have cost £1326 .
My First Blog Post
Nancy always deserved more ….
A dream come true!
Hello everyone, I’m the guy who promised himself a Mk1 Austin Healey 3000. Well I never break a promise so I’ve only gone and bought one! She is called Nancy (the most popular girls name when my Healey was built back in 1960) and this blog is all about her life. I hope you enjoy joining us for the drive.
