Nancy needed a full bare metal treatment
First we had to deal with localised micro blistering (tiny little blisters often found in clusters). If a panel or section of a cars body shows micro blistering that panel or area will need to be stripped of the current paint layers as the cause is usually tiny pores of rust on the metals surface. These must be removed and treated or they will come back. ruining the new paintwork. Nancy’s front wing took in the region of 3 hrs to manually remove the paint. Then everything is sandblasted .

Love all the detail and classic engineering, beautiful British craftsmanship still good as new 60 years later. When you hear the fuel being sucked through the twin carbs…thing of beauty.
Nancy’s straight 6 block. Totally re built and ready for performance tuning.
This will be my refurbished gearbox. 4 speed with overdrive , but the 3rd gear is so far away from 2nd! A good 6 inch shift to the right …love it.
Let’s start putting Nancy back together. First we needed sandblast,prime, re chrome, rebuild ……
Ok I am stripped bare, tomorrow we start to re build.
