Nancy is slowly coming to life

Originally Colorado Red straight out of the Healey factory in 1960, then painted in mustard yellow with racing black stripes for her racing career in Philadelphia .

Now Nancy will become her classic most elegant and beautiful self.

Nancy needed a full bare metal treatment

First we had to deal with  localised micro blistering (tiny little blisters often found in clusters). If a panel or section of a cars body shows micro blistering that panel or area will need to be stripped of the current paint layers as the cause is usually tiny pores of rust on the metals surface. These must be removed and treated or they will come back. ruining the new paintwork. Nancy’s  front wing took in the region of 3 hrs to manually remove the paint. Then everything is sandblasted .
