So what is “Nancy” the Austin Healey going to do ?

Well over the next month or so we will go on the re build adventure, how will I turn out ? Originally I was Colorado Red and when I arrived in the USA they painted me this hideous mustard shade and plastered stripes all over. Once we have finished the re build we will start travelling and exploring the World…..maybe Surrey to start with but who knows !

Where did it all begin?

Nancy is a BT7 Austin Healey 3000 and she was built on 5th September 1960 at the Donald Healey Motor co. in Warwick, England and then shipped to St Louis Missouri.

Originally Nancy was used for racing in North America. A BT7 3000 had a top speed of 115 mph (185 km/h) and could accelerate from 0–60 mph (97 km/h) in 11.7 seconds. A fuel consumption of 21.6 miles per imperial gallon (13.1 L/100 km; 18.0 mpg‑US) was recorded. She would have cost £1326 .
